Made the drive up from Long Island – scored a ticket right as the show was starting – rained a little – show was solid – always thought Estimated>Fingers would be good but the transition turned out to be rocky. got turned around on the way out and couldn’t find my car for like 2 hours which in hind sight was probably good all things considered

Agreed. Things began to change when the MTV crowd decided it was now “cool” to like The Dead. My touring days mostly came to an end in the fall of ’89 with the birth of my first daughter so I missed the radical changes that took place.

I recall a lot of violence at this one, I saw gates torn down and a crow bet an usher up pretty bad. The success of Touch of Grey seemed to bring a less peaceful vibe at shows : (
