Great show. We picked up a hitch hiker on the way who was a local and said he didn’t know the Dead but was hired to work security and heard there was going to be drugs there. We passed him a joint to give him a head start.

There was something special happening with Jerry on this evening —- he played every tune from his first solo album except “Loser” — truly exceptional evening for Jerry – “To Lay Me Diwn” was was from Beyond…….
