Symphonic Celebration Update: New Dates In NYC & NJ, Jacklyn LaBranch Joins The Band & The Wolf Returns!

The Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration summer tour featuring Warren Haynes has expanded!  We’re pleased to add two new dates — an August 7th return to PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ and the tour’s debut performance in New York City at Central Park’s SummerStage on August 8th.  The summer tour now stands at nine dates, including previously announced performances at Tanglewood and Red Rocks, among others.  Click here to see the full summer slate.  Pre-sale tickets for the NYC & NJ performances go on sale at GarciaOrchestra.shop.ticketstoday.com beginning Tuesday, March 8th at Noon ET.  General on-sale for both shows begins Friday, March 11th at 10am ET via Ticketmaster.

In other Symphonic Celebration news, long-time Jerry Garcia Band vocalist Jacklyn LaBranch will join the tour on backing vocals!  It will be a true delight to hear her sing with the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration and collaborate on many of the songs she sang with Jerry.  In addition to Warren and Jacklyn, the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration band will once again include drummer Jeff Sipe, bassist Lincoln Schleifer and vocalist Jasmine Muhammad.

And last but certainly not least, the Wolf, the first of Jerry’s iconic custom guitars built by Doug Irwin, will return to the stage this summer with the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration!  “It’s the right guitar for that sound,” Haynes told the Daily Progress in 2014. “The instrument kind of forces you to play more like him.”  Stay tuned for more updates on the tour in the coming weeks!
