Show Facts

This was the night of the Rodney King riots. Riot police surrounded the theatre and there were reports of gunshots in the streets. An announcement was made from the stage warning patrons not to leave the theatre.

I was not at this show ( I was at a Lou Reed concert in Los Angeles that night and Lou came out and said the exact same thing about being safer there then on the streets)but recieved a audiance recording on cassette later that year. From start to finish the band is ON. 20 years later eventually tracked down a shn of it and can now play on a CD player ,it is one of my favorite pieces of Garcia band music I still listen to. I have been very surprised that it hasnt caught the radar of whoever is picking out garcia shows for release on CD. Hopefully a SBD exist
