I was there. Bought tickets for JGB. Found out Zappa added? Close to show time, a local dj came out and announced they were flipping coin backstage to see who would open. Jerry opened. Very short set. I believe he dropped tiger on stage as he walked off. Zappa came on and told everyone to sit down we would be there a while.

I was there. JGB did open up. To my memory Jerry laid down a ripping “Deal” as his encore. Us ..the fans were still standing when Frank came on the stage and politely told us “you can all sit down now” and then made light hearted quip about Echo and the Bunnymen (s) band name .

This was the only time I saw Frank Zappa in concert and his show was amazing!
My friends and I noticed this was perhaps one of the FASTEST versions of Midnight Moonlight JG ever played; competing with FZ? Who knows!
