My bride and I attended this show two months after we married in St.Louis and I brought her back to my home state to live. Don’t remember how we got Irving to join us, but I distinctly remember the only full-on visual hallucination I experienced that evening – a brown-skinned man, naked but for a loincloth, his back dripping raindrops on this cloudless night as he stood stock-still right in front of me. . .
