Great show. Love the Zoo! Great place to see the Dead. There was no opening band at any of the 3 shows at the Zoo contrary to what previous comment states.

The OKC zoo amphitheater show was my very first one. I had a two hour drive to get there and it was all over the radio that it was Jerry’s 40th birthday so I stopped and got a birthday card. I signed it and during the show I handed the card and a red rose to someone on stage and they gave it to Jerry. I was thrilled! Yeah, he probably got a thousand roses and many many cards that day, but I was thrilled nonetheless! I also purchased a handmade bumper sticker with a red rose painted on it and it said something I can’t remember…there was a lot of “nature” in the air that day… πŸ™‚ The opening band was April Wine… I wonder whatever became of that bumper sticker…
