Such a great show. We drove up from UNCW and had our minds blown. Classic early 80’s 1st set. The Stranger Franklins was super strong, to be eclipsed by the version, a year later in Baltimore.
The absolute highlight for me, which still holds up today, is the He’s Gone outro into the most psychedelic transition into The Other One. I get chill bumps and chills whenever I go back to listen again. (You have to listen to this on a source where there is not a break between the two songs, like on “Archive”. Trust me when I say that that transition is short and every nuance note is critical.)
