I could just about swear he played Dear Prudence that night.

The night before Thanksgiving. Not inspired.

Don’t remember much except the moooood….was warm and floating all through that place. The vibrating patterns the swirling music was causing through the crowd had EVERYONE dancing in the back of the packed Palace (graduated in there Wolcott High Class of 76). Out of the warm bodies an angelic type dude (Jesus-ish) comes up to me and asks if I want to buy some half moon blotter acid “straight from California”! I took 2 hits, took one and slid the other inside an inner pocket of my wallet. Let’s just say, my life has never been the same. Thank you Jerry and all, as I found out through his/their music that night the infinite white light of Love in my heart. Done. Cooked. Never to be the same. And the other hit, as if I needed to ever repeat that lesson, was mysteriously gone the next morning.

My first Jerry show. Cold rain waiting in line around block. Biker gang for security. One friend fought with them. He didn’t get in. General admission. Third row on center aisle. 16 years old, good trips. Already saw 2 Dead shows but the long, fun trip was starting.
