Rode shotgun from SUNY Stoneonta NY to my 1st JGB show at the Capitol Thtr.. (Passaic NJ,) 9/6/73 wins my good buddy Jay and a bag of black wack. Neither of us tix, but I told the 300 lb Hells Angel who was manning the door we drove 200 miles for the show from upstate NY. He growled “show me ur Student ID”.I showed it to him and he waved us in. Sick show with Billy on drums and of course Merl. We hit Wi Hop in Chinatown post-show. Good times.
