I was fortunate not only because after the show my girlfriend & I spent about an hour alone with Jerry talking backstage, but also because during that Grace Slick came over to say goodnight to him – she’d seemed pretty wasted when she was onstage, but when we saw her later she was sweet, clear-eyed, & beautiful.
