Old & In The Way: Live at Sonoma State Vinyl Coming For RSD Black Friday!
We have a super release from a supergroup queued up for RSD Black Friday! Old & In The Way’s Live at Sonoma State – 11/4/73 will be pressed to vinyl for the very first time and available exclusively at locally owned, independent record shops on November 28th. The 2xLP set, featuring brand-new artwork by D. Norsen and Taylor W. Rushing, showcases one of the legendary band’s final — and arguably finest — performances. For those not already in the know, Old & In The Way consisted of David Grisman (mandolin, vocals), Peter Rowan (acoustic guitar, vocals), Jerry Garcia (banjo, vocals), Vassar Clements (fiddle) and John Kahn (acoustic bass). And to top it all off, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott sits in with the band and renders two country classics — a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence at Sonoma State College in Rohnert Park, California.
While the vinyl will only be found at locally owned record shops, fans can find new Old & In The Way t-shirts and a limited edition screen-printed 18″ x 24″ poster by Taylor W. Rushing at GarciaFamilyProvisions.com.
