Lady Chi’s Picks – Home For The Holidays

In advance of this December’s Home For The Holidays shows at the Capitol Theatre, Lady Chi has shared her favorite tunes from the Garcia songbook! Check out the playlist on Spotify or YouTube and learn more about the shows here!

Run For The Roses

A song of ultimate zen. Of trusting the process. When I’m tired, questioning, or frustrated this song it the reminder: “all good things in all good time”

Cats Under The Stars

Such a funky party anthem!! Totally captures the moment of shining up on stage and watching the crowd go wild. That little instrumental break right before each verse? One of my favorite musical moments to shimmy to

Mission In The Rain

I first moved to SF in the middle of winter, and lived right in the heart of the mission district. This song brings back so many memories every time I sing it. “there’s some satisfaction in the San Francisco rain”

Money Honey

I just love the sassiness of this song!!

Old school flavor at its best

How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)

One of the beautiful things about Jerry was his appreciation for old school Motown and soul music. This Marvin Gaye classic, reimagined is a prime example of Jerry sprinkling his magic on a Motown staple.

Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door

This song hits straight to the heart. If you see us performing it, more than likely you’re gonna notice a tear in my eye. Jerry added so much emotion and depth in his arrangement.

That Lucky Old Sun

Man, the dynamics in this song!!!! From super intimate and quiet, to the gut-wrenching backing vocals… brilliant. Blues, gospel, and pure Jerry all in one

Don’t Let Go

The quintessential groove, the way this song can fall apart into other dimensions and still hang on the that pocket that’s so funky….. epic
