Just Announced: A Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration in Baltimore

A Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration featuring Warren Haynes will take place at Baltimore’s Pier Six Pavilion on August 8th at 8:30 pm.  Joining Warren, Jeff Sipe (drums), Lincoln Schleifer (bass), Alecia Chakour (vocals), and Jasmine Muhammad (vocals) will be members of the acclaimed Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.  A portion of the proceeds from this performance will benefit the Rex Foundation, a charitable non-profit organization started by members of the Grateful Dead to  proactively provide extensive community support to creative endeavors in the arts, sciences, and education.

A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be available at via the Garcia Family’s fan ticket outlet beginning Tuesday, July 8th at Noon ET.  General on-sale will begin on Friday, July 11th at 10am via Ticketfly.

This new addition to the Symphonic Celebration summer tour extends the tour to six total dates.  The summer run will kick off with a very special Jerry Garcia Symphonic Birthday Celebration at the legendary Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on August 1st marking what would be Jerry’s 72nd birthday.  Other stops on the tour include a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver, CO on August 3rd, the nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA on August 6th and the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on August 9th.
