Electric on the Eel, a six-CD box set, features three complete, previously unreleased performances from the Jerry Garcia Band shows from August 29, 1987, June 10, 1989, and August 10, 1991. Held on the banks of the Eel River in Piercy, CA, the release consists of the familiar Jerry Garcia Band lineup of Jerry, John Kahn, Melvin Seals, David Kemper, Gloria Jones and Jacklyn LaBranch. Each set includes signature renditions of classics, standards, originals, and some surprises all performed with the soul, passion, and playfulness the band had become known for.
