The security in the lot prior to the show was VERY intolerant to tailgating. They had a task force with a uhaul confiscating anything they could grab in plain sight making the encore of I Fought The Law quite poignant. Beer was slapped from my hand to the ground at one point. The show itself has some sound quality issues in the first set. I recall Bobby kicking his amp at one point in frustration. You hear a sonic hiccup at 4:00 into So Many Roads and the crowd rises up in response, classic. It becomes obvious towards the end of that song it was a Jerry night and what a treat it was. The second set starts strong as the band worked through the sound issues that plagued the first set and seemed to be on a mission to make up for it. The Dark Star was a huge unexpected gift and Standing on the Moon obviously was one that always seemed to get Jerry right in the heart. My take home feeling after this show lasts to this day and I still rank it as one of my personal fave shows because of Jerry’s amazing gift to be able to convey emotions like a magical prophet. His ability was one I have only witnessed personally a handful of times but cherish as some of the best memories in my life. I miss that man every day.

I was 11 years old but Mama raised me right. So my Dad took me. Ha Ha! I might have been young but my little ass was in the right place. About 14th row to be exact. I will always be thankful for getting to see THE MAN. So my professional (11 year old opinion) is that the show was F*#$ing great! I knew American Beauty and Working Man’s Dead best so the set list was a treat. Couldn’t ask for more.

One of the best played shows of the year. Scarlet fire was a treat this night. Bobby with the acoustic was a highlight when he pulled out the wooden stool for looks like rain. Very impressive night.
