I was at this show – a highlight of my life! I also have a recording, and the tune “Shine On” was played 3rd song 2nd set and is not listed in this setlist

It meant so much, what an honor, to have Jerry Garcia band play at Rocky Glen Park, Moosic, Pa. I was there.

I was at this show as a 16 year old about to enter his senior year in high school. It was a final fling for summer. What I remember most about it was how incredibly hot it was inside the venue – essentially an enclosed pavilion on a pier over a small lake. I also remember Garcia wearing a flannel shirt onstage even though inside the venue it had to be at least 100F and no fans or ventilation. Security would not open the sides to keep people from sneaking in. People ended up breaking the garage-door-like openings so air could come in, then half the audience jumped in the lake to cool off. I am very surprised no one collapsed or was hospitalized from the heat. I do remember having a pretty good time and enjoying the band. I remember seeing Garcia staring angrily at Melvin Seals because he missed his cue to solo.

one of the best times at a show ever! we picked up 3 hitchhikers on our way home and we ended up touring together for the next few years….Jim, Squid and Rich!

great fun at this show. meeting a couple of cool chicks, then got thrown out of the motel we booked because the party was too loud, so we slept in walmart parking lot and drove to New Jersey for the next show.

My first show–What a blast. Went with some buddies from high school. I still crack up at the scene of everyone in the lake.

Crazy night 30 years ago. I’m listening to the show as I type and remembering paddleboats floating upsidedown all over the lake…people jumping over the venues railings right in the water, and Jerry SMOKIN on the guitar…VERY memorable night indeed.
