We grew up in the area, so we knew how to sneak in. 1st we had to distract the collage guys with irish hurley sticks. Some of us would try and climb the fence, and of course the security would go for them, this would give the rest of us a chance to get the girls and the slower people over at a different side. We did this at many shows, so we got really good at it. and there was always a lot of us , sometimes 20 to 30 people, had a lot friends back in the day.
My brother and his girl friend got over and hid in the bushes and made the best of it, rolling in poison ivory.
This was my 1st allman brothers show seeing them live, already was a big fan, huge Duane fan, RIP. Just missed seeing him playing live.
I managed to get down in front of the stage, and when Garcia came out , I remember thinking that he was there to fill in for Duane, what a great surprise, and treat. 42 years ago. I was 18 years old.
